Treats for all...

Hello again! I really can't believe that its been over two weeks since my last blog post... where does the time go? Now that the no so little ones have broken up from school the days seem to whizz by even faster!... Plenty of busyness but also lots of fun. I suppose that I really need to back track a little and let you see the necklace that I made for Esther .....

This was made, as you know if you read the last post, in Cornwall... I was hoping for sun and sea, but instead was treated to rain, more rain and even more rain... at times I thought the caravan might go over, or that I would take off like Dorothy in The wizard of Oz and end up in a far away land full of green witches and small people!!! I am happy to report that I did survive the weather and so did the caravan!
I did, however, manage to have one lovely long walk along the coast path, between the showers

... aren't the colours amazing?

... could easily be abroad somewhere....

.... to Bedruthan Steps....

this is an absolutely amazing place... giant lumps of rock strewn across the beach that is only accessed by a flight of very narrow, slippery, twisty, steep steps!

The walk down is well worth it if the tide is out as it leaves behind a vast expanse of sand and the biggest rock pools you have ever seen... big enough to swim in!!

I was really pleased to have at least managed one superb walk.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Now on to some really exciting news.... the B&B, Pebbles, that my parents have been setting up in Budleigh Salterton is now officially open.
This gorgeous sign was painted by mum and even has real little pebbles stuck to it... isn't it beautiful? When you sit in the garden you can hear many people commenting on the sign and saying how lovely it is... and it is..

Please come in....

On your arrival you will be given a warm welcome and served a cup of tea and homemade cake in the conservatory .... tempted?

To book your stay call Rosemary or Humfrey on 01395 442417 or email them at... stay@bedandreakfastbythebeach.com

And as if that wasn't enough, I am holding two jewellery making workshops in the conservatory at Pebbles on August 20th, one in the morning and one in the evening.
Come and learn some basics of jewellery making and then be let loose on the beads to make your own necklace, bracelet, earrings or ring... the hardest part is not the making but choosing firstly what you are going to make, and secondly, what colour????
For those of you who would like a real treat, why not bring a friend and spend a night at Pebbles too.... what a way to relax and spoil yourselves... homemade cake, fantastic views, breakfast cooked on the Aga and served in the conservatory, falling asleep listening to the sound of the waves... AND jewellery making... what more could a girl want?
Don't take too long to decide, places are limited... so email me for more information... it would be lovely to meet some of you and put names to faces.

Thanks for popping by today, please leave me a comment to let me know that you have popped in.. I really do love to read each and everyone of them
Love
Yvonne xx

I love Budleigh! What a fab sign too. I'm sure I'd come and stay if I didn't live so near!
Good luck with the workshop!

Hello there!

What stunning photos, and so very necessary as we have had lots of rain and dreary grey skies - those colours are a tonic for the soul!

I wish I were nearer to you, Id love to come to one of your workshops - the pictures of your jewellery remind me of jars of sweets, so colourful and bright!

Love Julia xxx
